This past week marked the unveiling of the Spring/Summer 2016 collection of Canadian designers at World Master Card Fashion Week in Toronto. As media, I attended everyday, in style of course. Check out my looks from Day 1 to Day 5.
Some people say you should do cardio before your workout, others say you should do it after. Everyone has their opinion, but I’m here to settle this debate once and for all.
The answer to this question is, IT DEPENDS.
It depends on your goals. Read on to see how you should be incorporating cardio into your workout to maximize effectiveness in helping you reach your goal.
I’m a huge liquid eyeliner junkie and have tried numerous brands and styles. When I have time, I prefer to use cake eyeliner. The cake eyeliner method however requires patience as you need to open the cake eyeliner, reach for your brush, clean your brush to get the goop off from the previous application and really spend your time to get the perfect look. For everyday use, I opt for liquid eyeliner as it’s a better option for those times you’re in a pinch. Not to mention, it’s easily transportable.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve tried 4 different liquid eyeliners, to give you my take on best to worst.

Last year, on October 2nd, I turned 30. At 12:05 am, on October 3rd, I was laying in my bed and burst out in tears. By 30, I had accomplished it all – married the man of my dreams, living in a beautiful home, two cars, a promising career – so why was I crying?
I’ve known Tina Sharma, lead make up artist for BeauteeInc for nearly 10 years now. I remember running into her at parties and her make up was always on point. So when she told me that she was going to try a hand at make up artistry, I knew she’d be great at it. She’s always had an artistic side and loved painting and art growing up. She began her career working at Sephora, where she was trained by a slew of vendors, ranging from Dior to Smashbox, allowing her to develop superior product knowledge and experience across a vast amount of make up brands and skin care lines. She was then selected to become an official Sephora certified make up artist. A year later, she took her talents to MAC and continues to work there part-time. She credits her retail experience as invaluable, as it’s allowed her to work with every ethnicity, face shape and eye shape. She recently took up courses at George Brown College to learn the fundamentals of hair styling, which she has recently added to her portfolio of services.
As I write this blog post, I’m absolutely terrified that I spoke too soon and my acne is going to flare up again. Anyone whose suffered from acne, understands the toll it can take on your self esteem. My acne flared up again around June 2014 and was a steady nightmare until about April 2015. I “cured” my previous bout of acne using birth control. I was on birth control for 7 years and got off it around January 2014. I detail my acne journey and the side effects of birth control in a previous post here. After realizing in hindsight the impact birth control had on my body and the fact that it isn’t a sustainable option (if you ever plan to start a family), I was determined to finally fix this acne NATURALLY, once and for all. This meant, no prescription medication, no Accutane, but instead, trying to find the root cause. This approach requires a lot of patience, but I believe that’s what’s required for long term results.

Within my daunting 12-15 step Korean Skin Care Regime, there are steps that are absolutely essential that everyone should be doing. With all the products out there, you’re left wondering – What should I buy? What should I use? Is this step a waste of money? That’s why I’ve compiled a basic skin care routine to help guide you on what you should be doing daily for your skin in chronological order with suggested recommended age groups.
Today marks one year since I started my blog. It’s been a fun journey, full of self discovery. I’m thankful to everyone whose supported my journey so far and love hearing all your feedback, suggestions and love when you join the conversation.
This past year, blogging has given me a lot of insight about you – my readers and how this web of social media works and have decided to share some these insights with you so we can share in this milestone together.
