Glam By BeauteeInc
I’ve known Tina Sharma, lead make up artist for BeauteeInc for nearly 10 years now. I remember running into her at parties and her make up was always on point. So when she told me that she was going to try a hand at make up artistry, I knew she’d be great at it. She’s always had an artistic side and loved painting and art growing up. She began her career working at Sephora, where she was trained by a slew of vendors, ranging from Dior to Smashbox, allowing her to develop superior product knowledge and experience across a vast amount of make up brands and skin care lines. She was then selected to become an official Sephora certified make up artist. A year later, she took her talents to MAC and continues to work there part-time. She credits her retail experience as invaluable, as it’s allowed her to work with every ethnicity, face shape and eye shape. She recently took up courses at George Brown College to learn the fundamentals of hair styling, which she has recently added to her portfolio of services.
BeauteeInc offers party and bridal hair and make up, has been featured in three print magazines, and recently was make up artist to Francesca Eastwood (daughter of Clint Eastwood) for her red carpet premier of Heroes Reborn during TIFF 2015.
Her make up insirpirations include Pat McGrath and Tamanna Roashan. To ensure she’s constantly perfecting her craft, she’s attended workshops hosted by celebrity make up artists such as Renny Vaquez, whose clients include Gabriel Union and other women of colour. She also subscribes to online classes held by make up and hair gurus such as Dress Your Face and Lilly Ghalichi.
Getting dolled up by Tina is always a pleasure. She’s easy going, fun and dynamic. If you’re new to make up, rest assured, she’s perfectly comfortable taking control, but also loves a more interactive experience where she works with her client to draw up inspirations. I have recommended Tina to many friends over a dozen times, and all of them have had nothing but good things to say.
We decided to do a heavy glam look, with a touch of sparkle. Since my face is already oval, we skipped the cream contouring and chose to contour using powders instead.
